History of Cash Registers

With the advent of speed in technology, the "keeping up" has taken its toll on weekend fishing. The young salesperson these days is so stupid that they don't know where their backside has been, nor do they care. With the compliments of NCR and no permission, I would like to tell the beginning of Cash Registers as told by NCR. Most will be copied from their bible.

NCR had up to 85% of the New Zealand market for cash registers up to 1980. Because NCR was structured like an upside-down triangle, that is with management being top-heavy, and salespeople at the bottom of the triangle, the top-heavy management with their finger up their noses felt there was no cause for alarm as cheap machines came flowing in from Japan, especially Casio.

In a very short time, there became early retirement for the deaf management; service guys and sales guys went to Casio. NCR's dying words were "NCR is quality, people will stay with NCR."

Because I own and paid for this web site, I can say what I like.

Also, the first recorded cash register was made by James Ritty or Patterson in 1856 !!?.Company started in Ohio 1884. . Refer www3.ncr.com/history/ncr.htm
